Just In Time: An Eki Adoration.

Hey sugar,

My title is deliberate considering that I’m posting one day after the buzz.

I’m not used to doing things after the mould. It’s just the mad money that should follow that eccentricity that remains.

And it will come all in good time, while we’re yet young and able to eat breakfast in France, lunch in Brussels and dinner in a country we’ll toss a coin for.

I find myself just in time to see you on the dusty fields of Kebbi. Just in time to get my head out of the clouds to dare ask you for a dinner date.

Just in time to have seen that you were different. Standing in the midst of the pack but your light shining through to me (and no doubt others)

Just in time to do what I had never done before and wear my heart out on my sleeve.

And though we went through a few tumultuous years between intent and reality, we only defined them as battle scars, dents on the armor to show that we had skin in the game.

Just in time before our course was altered and our journeys diverged, it corrected and set us again on the right path.

And for you and our gorgeous daughter, I’ll always be there.

Always in time to be your biggest cheerleaders, always there to remind and show you that you are loved.

Always ready to change, be stretched and to make you laugh always.

Always in time for everything… Always and Forever in Time.

For you, Eki, always in time.

P.S: Eki needs a job that matches her skills in Lagos or remotely. She is currently a lecturer at UNICAL, looking for translator roles. She majored in French and minored in Spanish and had a distinction in her Masters, graduating top of her class.😍😍

Gigs are welcome, too.

Make sure you send them just in time….
